If there is a reset button on your furnace turn the valve to the pilot position and hold a flame to the dedicated pilot gas tube while pushing the button for about 30 seconds. If you ve found that you re getting hot water from the taps but no central heating there s a problem. However one of the most common problems i ve seen is the thermocouple failing due to wear and tear over the years causing the pilot light to go out.
